Compliance with current and regulatory requirements

EDAP TMS complies with all regulatory environmental requirements:

  • REACH Regulation (EC 1907/2006) on chemicals and their safe use
  • WEEE Directive (2012/19/UE) on the Management of Waste Electrical Electronic Equipment
  • RoHS Directive n° 2011/19/UE on the restriction of use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
Products designed and manufactured in France

EDAP TMS policy and strategy is to maintain a geographical proximity with its suppliers and its subcontractors in order to minimize environmental impacts:

  • 90 % of EDAP TMS's subcontractors are located in France*
  • 55 % are within the Rhone-Alpes region*

A Company close to its customers

EDAP TMS remains close to its customers by setting up offices where its business is most active. EDAP TMS employs 150 people based in France (headquarters) and abroad(6 subsidiaries and 2 representative offices) hence serving and bringing support to its customers all around the world in the shortest time possible with reduced impact on environment.

Eco-designed products

EDAP TMS is sensitivity to manufacture eco-designed products.
By analyzing its products' life cycle (from design to end-of-life), EDAP TMS is committed to reducing environmental impacts and implementing environmental-friendly actions.

A product recycling program

For now several years, EDAP TMS has been implementing a recycling program for used equipment parts stemming from its devices. EDAP TMS ensures an environment-friendly dismantling of its products by recycling components and sub-assemblies and upgrading or refurbishing its medical devices. The performance of its Equipment is not altered at all and fully conforms the CE mark requirements.

Sustainable development process commitment

In partnership with the company "CLIKECO" (www.clikeco.com), EDAP TMS provides for regular recovery of used Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), as well as batteries, neons, plastics, hazardous and chemical products. By doing so, EDAP TMS France commits to its environmental obligations and takes part in a sustainable development process.
